Cisco SPA500S expansion module
SPA500S expansion module (sidecar / attendant console), 32 keys with LEDs, paper insert labeling, for SPA 500 series.
he Cisco SPA 500S is a 32-Button Expansion Module that compliments the Cisco SPA 501G, SPA 502G, SPA 504G, SPA 508G, SPA 509G, and SPA 525G IP Phones. Once you’ve connected the SPA 500S’s simple bracket-and-cable setup to your existing Cisco IP phone, you’ll be able to track the status of up to 32 separate phone lines per Expansion Module. And, if you need more room to grow, you can connect up to two Expansion Modules for every phone.
Add controls for up to 32 different phone lines with the SPA 500S Expansion Module.
The SPA 500S is easy to install on your existing Cisco SPA-brand phone--one cable and you're ready to go!
Easy-to-Use Call Switching
The attendant console’s 32 programmable speed-dial or direct-station select buttons illuminate a line’s status (idle, ringing, busy, or null) via the multicolored Busy Lamp Field. You can immediately transfer incoming calls to the proper location with the push of a button assigned to that extension.
With its easy-to-operate, informative display, the SPA 500S gives you a clear view of your office’s phone activity. This allows you to quickly contact and connect with other employees, improving customer service and increasing business productivity.

Effortless Integration
Integrating the SPA 500S into your existing Cisco phone system is as easy as connecting a cord from your desktop phone to the attendant console. From there, you can physically attach the SPA 500S to your phone using the included bracket. The SPA 500S automatically uses your phone’s existing power supply, eliminating the need for additional cabling or external power sources.
As an SIP-based device, the SPA 500S can be used with a number of different communications systems, including Cisco Smart Business Communication System, Cisco SPA 9000 Phone System, hosted IP communication solutions, and Asterisk-based Open Source IP PBX.
Consolidate Your Network
Because it’s attached to an IP phone, the SPA 500S doesn’t need to be reconfigured if you move both devices to a new location in your office. In addition, you can use a single Ethernet cable to power both the Cisco phone and attached SPA 500S.
The SPA 500S connects to the phone via an auxiliary port on the rear of the device, so you can still use one of the phone’s free Ethernet ports to bridge a nearby desktop or laptop computer into your existing network infrastructure. By consolidating your voice and data networks, you reduce operating costs. You can also tie your phone operations into relevant computer applications, which can integrate your calls with customer relationship management software and allow you to receive new call notifications directly on your desktop, among other features.
